Joan Jett Tattoos

Joan Jett is an American rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, known for her work with the Blackhearts and for hit songs such as I Love Rock 'n' Roll and Bad Reputation.

Joan Jett has numerous tattoos on her body, which includes an Ohm symbol on the back of her neck, plus an inverted triangle on her left upper arm, along with a tribal armband that resembles several intertwined ichthys.

The rock star has a few other tattoos including an artsy spiral design on her left forearm, a unique V design on her chest and an unknown tattoo design on her lower back.

The Runaways, opens March 19th

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in this movie about the legendary all girl 70's band, The Runaways. Scout Taylor-Compton stars as Lita Ford. Also starring are Alia Shawkat and Tatum O'Neal.

In late 1975, Joan Jett and Sandy West formed an all girl rock trio with bassist Micki Steele and started touring the club scene in LA. Soon, they added guitarist Lita Ford and Cherie Currie on vocals. Micki Steele left the band was replaced by Ann Boleyn. Micki later went on to play in the Bangles. Ann Boleyn left the band to form Hellion. Both Lita Ford and Joan Jett went on to have successful solo careers.

The Runaways lasted until 1979 and they are recognized as the first successful all girl rock band. This movie takes you on the journey as these girls turned the world of rock upside down.
